I barely talk about my business here.

It’s by design.

I usually come here to get my head off work so it’s mostly hobbies, thoughts, things I’ve done in the past, and the like that get on here. But today, I’m making an exception. I’ve really stepped out of my comfort zone this time and I think it’s something worth sharing.

As most people close to me know, I’m not a fan of unnecessary attention.

I feel it distracts from actual work.

I always want my businesses to be the popular things (to those who patronize them) while I live freely doing my thing. I barely post images or videos of myself online and I’m notorious for rejecting interview and event requests. But guess what? I launched (or my business launched – because it’s paying) a podcast!

The idea for the Tech Your Business podcast was born in early 2021. Like a fleeting thought that kept coming back, I wrote it down in my Todoist app as a reminder. Fast forward to 2022, I finally gathered the time and the energy to bring this thought to life.

I remember recording the first episode with a mix of anxiety and excitement. I published it using Soundcloud, and although it served its purpose, I found it to be limited in terms of what I wanted to do with the podcast. So, I later moved to Anchor, a more versatile and user-friendly platform for podcasting.

I started with publishing one episode a month, and I am proud to say that I have maintained this consistency and even stepped it up to two episodes a month since June 2023. It’s been a journey of learning, growth, and stepping out of my comfort zone.

As of now, the podcast is nine episodes in and I’m thrilled to share that I am currently producing guest interviews for more variety in the content. I look forward to sharing these insightful conversations with you.

It’s been a rewarding experience so far, and I am excited about the potential it has to grow and reach more people.

In the end, I believe it’s all about pushing boundaries, trying new things, and constantly learning. And while I may be a private person who prefers to let his work do the talking, I’ve come to realize that sometimes, stepping out of the shadows can lead to new opportunities and experiences.

So here’s to stepping out of our comfort zones. To trying new things. To growing. And to sharing our journeys, however uncomfortable they may be. Because, at the end of the day, it’s through these experiences that we truly learn and grow.
